Introduction

So, you want to get into keyboard building. How cool is that? Hi, my name is Sam, your friendly keyboard addict :]. In writing this guide, there is a few things I want you to achieve:

• Understand what a keyboard is and how it works (to a degree)
• Understand the various configurations and components, along with the options that exist
• Be able to say you know how to start, without feeling (too) overwhelmed

I hope I can do this. I want people to share the same kind of love for keyboards as I do.

Below, I have broken down the parts into a couple sections. I designed this so that you can skip around (like I do because I am “specially made”).
